A conversation with Marc Smith, General Manager of Amphenol XMA, in Manchester, NH. XMA is one of the newest Amphenol acquisitions, and Marc has been with the company since 2013. We talk about the origins of XMA with their focus on passive RF technology. We talk about some of the markets XMA serves, including quantum computing and the extreme conditions their cryogenic products must withstand to perform correctly. We talk about graduating with a political science degree and working in the public sector, then changing directions at the suggestion of a mentor to get into the RF industry.
